We Have Babies {Goats}

Announcing the arrival of 3 babies at Green Pastures Farm.  

Above is 'Coco' born February 9 to Jill, Baby Girl, 4 pounds.

This is Baby Girl 1 born February 8 to Daisy May, 4 pounds.

And this is her brother, born about 5 minutes later, 4 pounds at birth, but I think he has doubled in size in a week!  These two are mini Saanens (Mom is Saanen, Dad is Nigerian Dwarf).  

Don't let this 'taking a nap' picture fool you . . . they are springing all over the barn . . . off their Mother, off the hay bag, off each other . . . video in another post.

Jill had a bit of trouble this time with a stillbirth and retained placenta.  But she and the baby she delivered are doing quite well now!

And reactions from the others????

Henrietta was pleased to add the nursery as yet another place to forage,

and Smokey was curious initially, but now rather indifferent!
