1930's Construction

The farmhouse is really 3 (maybe 4) add-ons over the years. The original house is 2 rooms (which will be our living room and our master bedroom). This part of the house is at least circa 1890's, maybe earlier. The construction of the walls is 4" by 5/8" tongue and groove wood.

Later, 1930's, the walls were covered with newspaper, we think to keep the wind from blowing through. Subsequently, 2 different wallpaper layers had been applied. Then sometime (1950s ?) dry wall was added.

The constuction continues so we are into a "studio apartment" in the house - this room has now become the kitchen, living room and bedroom with a "bridge" to the bathroom. It's cozy . . . really!
