Milking, Yogurt & Cheese

We are milking, getting about a quart a day.  The girls are producing more than that, but we're only milking once a day and leaving plenty for the growing babies.

We have made our first yogurt and chèvre (goat cheese).
Raw Milk (top left), Yogurt (top right), Chèvre (paprika and fennel)
We aren't milking Jill, she's had some troubles after her difficult delivery and so she's making just enough milk for Coco.

Spring is beautiful in the South (and especially here at Green Pastures Farm).  The blueberries are in blossom and are full of pollinating bees!

The rebirth in Spring reflects the resurrection promise of Easter.

Blessings,
Pete & Debby
