Making Mulch

Another weekend at the farm. To start, here are a couple pictures of the wood and metal roofing Pete was able to salvage from taking down one of the pole barns.















Now, this weekend's projects . . . .



Pete is continuing to work on reclaiming the pasture land from brush and small trees. Rather than burning, he rented a chipper and we 're making mulch!








I've been working on clean up of smaller areas of vines, weeds, etc. Ever the Master Gardener, I've already made a few beds with the new mulch and planted a few annuals!


What else are we working on?



Decided on the house design and bought the plans.
Paperwork for building permit.
Found a site surveyor thanks to the expertise of Brother Sam.
Looking at door and window styles and exterior base and trim colors.
Final decision on type of building material for foundation.
Still walking the farm for the "ideal" home site.
